An experienced scientist or academic would be much careful when stating such strong claims in peer-reviewed journals and if you intend to comment on such a difficult topic, such journals are a better starting point than BBC. I may not agree with BJP on many things but I actually believe there should one high language of the country. Yes English is an international language and we all should have knowledge about it but problem become very serious when English language becomes more than knowledge. It leads many knowledgeable candidates go jobless. Makeup your mind is it English or Hindi. Because discrimination happens everywhere with those people who speaks hindi. If hindi is useless and can't get us anywhere then make English as official language of our country. I mean we already use so many foreign countries policies why not use their language too. She was really confident answering these questions. Why? Because she was speaking in English. Many people in village consider English language as language of God. It is not forced. Everyone have to learn his/her mothertongue first and later on move to national language and English.our national language help us to intrect with each other. not all people understand English but they understand Hindi. if some telugu/Tamil guy learn Hindi there is not problem this is more reletive to us rather than English. People will misguide you or make politics of division but you have to choose what is right. Hindi is our national language and there should be no problem in learning it. Infact I'm proud that we're taught English, Hindi and other languages in schools. When I watch videos of other countries (eg,travel vlogs) where people know only one language and can't understand English, I feel sorry for them. Don't know why, I mean may be it's good for them to have their national language but they find difficulty in expressing themselves on international platforms. It feels really good that we know n are taught different languages and thus our people find it easier interacting with people of different regions and countries even our rickshaw pullers understand basic English.
